But First a Word From the Accountants...

“The fight for talent continues,” Chief Executive Officer Stephen Easterbrook said on
a conference call following Tuesday’s earnings report. “It’s going to get increasingly
challenging to attract the talent you want into your business, and then you’re going
to work really hard through training and development to retain them.”

Spoken by the guy who downsized all of the knowledgeable McDonald's people.

Short term, sales will be OK, long term we are not addressing the real issues. Real
issues are staffing, and the need for simplification of the restaurants. We are ignoring
the real issues. What good will new buildings be when we cannot deliver service
because we are short-staffed. Employee turnover is at an all-time high for us. Our
restaurants are way too stressful, and people do not want to work in them. Kiosks are
not the answer.

Reality will catch up with this guy. Maybe in about 9 months.

Attracting and Retaining talent is hardly a priority for Easterbrook, a man with a multi million dollar Golden parachute !
