Will MCD be sharing any of the revenue from grocery and big box store sales of this or the McCafe products with its franchisees to offset the loss of sales in the franchisee restaurants?

MCD franchisees are the ones who built the McCafe business by building out the business in their restaurants.

Smart, drive our customers to the grocery aisles where they can buy rotisserie chicken and prepared meals and skip that next visit to McDonald's. On McCafe...what's the under-the-table relationship between Kraft and McDonald's executives?

I could not agree more with the above comment. We are fighting against our Landlord for profits.

Over two years ago, I was at a coop meeting discussing the new McCafe K-cups to be sold in your local grocery store. Only TWO operators had the nerve to speak up and complain about how this competes with our stores in the beverage area. It was quickly brushed aside by the regional VP. I blame this on our leadership and the operators themselves.

Dave Hoffman left for Dunkin' Donuts, where they share the grocery store product sales revenue with their franchisees 50/50. Why can't we get that kind of deal? We pay rent to boot!
