Heard It Through The McGrapevine

It's surprising to hear that the goal for Mobile Order and Pay is 15 - 20 GCs/day. That's sure tiny. I assume that goal will increase as adaptation increases.

Also, it's surprising that UberEats GCs are a couple of dozen a day. Or, maybe that's a good thing - less money losing transactions the better.

And yet McDonald's Operators will be forced to spend marketing resources to increase McDeliverys.

The above numbers are surprising but it's shocking to hear that the level of commission paid
to UberEATS (by McDonald's Operators) is supposed to be a secret. The Operators involved
in McDelivery can't discuss it and have signed non-disclosure agreements.

Now I've seen it all. McDonald's Operators not allowed to discuss sweeping system changes with their fellow Operators.

What else is hidden by those NDAs?

For those with direct knowledge of these matters - send it in - either comment here or send me an E-mail. Especially about the non-disclosure agreements.

I was watching President Trump's speech from Korea and when he said the following I told my family, that sounds just like McDonald's!

"What remains of the meager harvest of the North Korean economy is distributed according to perceived loyalty to a twisted regime."

"Far from valuing its people as equal citizens, this cruel dictatorship measures them, scores them, and ranks them based on the most arbitrary indications of their allegiance to the state. Those who score the highest in loyalty may live in the capital city. Those who score the lowest starve."

As an UberEats delivery operator, I am happy to share the (money losing) costs. UBER charges the customer a $4.99 delivery fee. UBER charges the Operator a 15% service fee based on the check(menu) price. Prices must be the same for both delivery and instore, and ALL discounts MUST be honored. McDonalds collects full rent and service fees on the total menu price AND the 15% service fee! UBER wins. McD wins. Operator loses. Dont walk, RUN away from delivery if you can.

PS- several operators in our area are intentionally instructing stores to significantly slow down fulfillment of UBER orders to discourage future UBER delivery use. desperate times call for desperate measures.

PPS- Are mandatory NDAs from our "partners" Modern & Progressive ??

And I still am asking, but getting NO answers, WHO is liable for food bourne illness or foreign objects when delivered by UBER?????

Let's be clear...I read my contract. I saw nothing about charging the same price nor honoring promotions like $1 drinks or other promos in UberEats. "Must" according to who??

I think the above comment is disinformation by an Oak Brook pajama boy, NOT AN OPERATOR

"Lets be clear" probably is a McD stiff as noted above. Our current POS and RFM does NOT allow two different prices on the same item.

How will the increased exposure liability affect our Liability Insurance costs because of delivery ?? Not sure that our insurers would be too keen on insuring a transaction delivered by a third party. I smell delivery riders and increased insurance costs in our future!
