The only Way I am going to go with a heavy discounting program is if we have a Floor that Guarantees McD. will lose at the same rate we do, by CoOp, not Field Office or nation.

If it is all that Damn Good Suspend the 4% service fee on those products we Discount. If we have to take a Bath to build transactions let’s ALL get in and SOAK.

Time to Get Real and Real Pissed Off. Because you know it is coming.

ITS ALREADY HERE. Look no further than the Global Mobile App offers which are totally controlled by Chicago. Someone needs to file a price fixing anti trust class action lawsuit vs MCD

One possible solution is to base management's bonuses on the average profitability of franchisee owned stores in their region, and nationally. Then you'd see some profit driving promotions and loss of complete focus on stupid things like paper straws and fake meat.

Although I agree with much of the above, we are missing the real point. McDonalds cares only about the stock price and the stockholders. Rays dream is dead

As to stock price and shareholders, MCD actually has a legal obligation to them. The franchise agreement lays out the complete legal relationship between MCD and franchise owners. If you haven't read it lately, here's a hint as to what they owe us: nothing. It's franchise owners that powe them, and they owe shareholders.

Don't expect any relief unless NOA changes its playbook to make it harder on executives to continue to exploit us.

To the poster above-If MCD owes us nothing, then they should stop calling us "PARTNERS"

Operators built this system, NOT MCD pajama boys!

Kinda like what Enron owed to its stockholders, Right?

how is it that subway can dictate prices to their owners. I thought that was against Federal antitrust law.

I assume management was able to get the advertising committee to vote it in. Then most franchisees are forced to go along once the offer is on national television. Then management can say the campaign is "franchisee driven".

I believe the question is, how does McDonald’s Corporate execute intimidation tactics and strategies against franchisees in order to accomplish their goals of discounting? How do they influence franchisees by threatening taking their businesses away if they “are not a team player” by voting their way. How they threaten not allowing growth for votes. How they threaten not approving next generation candidates to get votes. McDonald’s corporate has become a direct reflection of our government how they operate today. Nancy Pelosi might as well be the CEO of McDonald’s (vote until we get it our way mentality). I believe the people that initially harm others for their benefit (using franchisees as just a bank account/ threatening them...basically being unethical individuals) will ultimately come back around to impact those involved in these type of behaviors.

I hope for better days.

The Enron execs went to jail because of those legal obligations.. Then came Sarnabes Oxley and potential liability for corporate directors.

. Shareholders get protected.

MCD shareholder always win over franchise owners.

RICO.

Forget RICO. The government decidedly does not care what happens to franchisees. Stockholders have armies of fed and state regulators to protect their losses on a single share of stock, plus the whole class action shyster industry.

Franchisees? Nope. NOA is the only hope. Literally no one else cares. As a matter of fact, you will see shills from the International Feanchise Association lobbying against you, every single day. IFA Should change its name to the International Franchisor Association.

Franchisees are just useful idiots at IFA. It's amazing how they get stupid franchisees buttered up to show up in the Capitol to lobby against their own financial lives.
