Must McDonald's Always Be Politically Correct?

With all the challenges McDonald's faces - they have to waste resources on phony initiatives that will only raise operating costs.

McDonald's signs on for Obama's 'American Business Act on Climate Pledge'

This is really stupid. In times like we are in today in this industry every decision made should only consider does it make the business stronger. Solid business decisions in MCD are now a thing of the past. The regions are worse about making good business decisions. I know they will say that it is good for our image and it can counter some of the negative publicity being paid for by the unions and in that regard it is a good business decision. If they want a better image use the Ronald McDonald Houses. There are some really great stories to be told there and we already have millions invested there. This is the massive bureaucracy of people that know little about the business and actually think it will sell more product. It is sad and it is stupid.

It would be nice if they would support "sustainable" cash flow. Modern, progressive, politically correct with a keen focus on top-line sales and climate change.

Climate change and global warming is real. No question about it. It has been going on since the beginning of time. Egypt was the greatest society in the world for 3000 years. Climate change caused the rains to stop and turned that part of the world into a desert and reduced Egypt to nothing but warring tribes. Why the human race thinks they can stop the natural movements of the universe by shutting down smoke stacks, ect. is just fool hardy. One of the biggest pollerters of the world is human feces. Why don't we all just stop having bowel movements. Those people are just crazy.

Something that's also been going on since the beginning of time is the ongoing desire of one group of inadequate people to control the other people in their society.

Also, the goal of many "climate change believers" is to stop us from eating meat:

Mind-Blowing Temperature Fraud At NOAA
July 27, 2015
The measured US temperature data from USHCN shows that the US is on a long-term cooling trend. But the reported temperatures from NOAA show a strong warming trend.
Measured : ushcn.tavg.latest.raw.tar.gz
Reported : ushcn.tavg.latest.FLs.52j.tar.gz
They accomplish this through a spectacular hockey stick of data tampering, which corrupts the US temperature trend by almost two degrees.
The biggest component of this fraud is making up data. Almost half of all reported US temperature data is now fake. They fill in missing rural data with urban data to create the appearance of non-existent US warming.
The depths of this fraud is breathtaking, but completely consistent with the fraudulent profession which has become known as “climate science”

“Catastrophic global warming” continues unabated all around us. NOT! Lets see, we’ve had 18 years of flat temperatures despite the unchecked rise of CO2. Before that, growing evidence suggests that the 1930s was hotter than today. Either way, Mann’s bs portrayal of out of control hockey stick 20th century warming is pure unadulterated baloney. True, CO2 has risen, but temperatures have been flat or falling. The global warming thesis is a joke, an utter joke. A look throughout the historical record shows that there is ZERO evidence (youtube link v=WK_WyvfcJyg) that CO2 causes climate warming. ZERO. That’s the actual evidence. Of course, people hear the evidence and just shrug their shoulders and keep on believing.

This is all anyone needs to know about "Global Warming"
“It is a powerful convergence of interests among a very large number of elites, including politicians who want to make it seem as though they’re saving the world, environmentalists who want to raise money and get control over very large issues like our entire energy policy, media — for sensationalism, universities and professors for grants. You can’t hardly get a science grant these days without saying it has something to do with climate change. It is a kind of nasty combination of extreme political ideology and a religious cult all rolled into one, and it’s taken over way too much of our thought process and way too much of our priorities… Nobody’s saying that the Earth hasn’t warmed a little bit. What we’re saying is there’s no proof that it is human activity that has caused this little bit of warming”-Patrick Moore - Co Founder Green Peace
