From the article:
"Beyond Meat is sold in grocery stores nationwide and is also increasingly being featured on restaurant menus, including TGI Fridays and Carl’s Jr. and now under a new deal with Del Taco Restaurants Inc. Its burger patties, with no cholesterol and 5 grams of saturated fat, are made of pea protein and beet juice, which makes them “bleed” when cooked. That compares with 80 milligrams of cholesterol and 9 grams of saturated fat for a 4-ounce patty of 80 percent lean beef."

Wonder if Thompson can use his MCD connections to induce MCD to offer a meatless burger? I certainly hope NOT! (but it WOULD be Modern & Progressive, LOL)

I'll wait for about three quarters and short BYND, as they will certainly lose millions more with yearly earnings report and once the fad wears off it will continue their losses once they spend all their money on assets for increased production. Nothing proprietary about their product very duplicatable for any major food processor. I should be sitting pretty with a stock price in the $5 range. But Don will certainly cash out before then.

McD is going to be the last one to offer a meatless burger. Always late to the game

Maybe Burger King will prove me wrong but I think, if McDonald's sold a meatless burger, a store would sell four a day. With OPNAD support - eight a day.

This is a Fad, we tried selling a Burger with No fat and stayed at the dance too long. I can do well without chasing these Fads.
- The Atkins diet came and went. So will this fad.

The customers that would eat a meatless burger would never embrace us anyway.

Chalk me up as a fad and best to stay out of it. I am putting the over/under at 10 months on Burger King meatless burger.

People who eat vegan food won't ever step into a McDonalds or Burger King, ever.
