"McKinsey & Co. provides many services to McD. They even have an office in MHQ. If you have ever wondered what McKinsey was about, the following video will enlighten you:

Also, the book "When McKinsey Comes to Town" provides valuable insights into them."

Chris K is also very close friends with a McKinsey board member. And a ex- McKinsey exec is on our McDonalds board I believe. Rather incestuous relationship?

In the future, when I wonder how McDonald's can operate with a management team devoid of system experience, I'll remember this quote from one of McKinsey's veteran consultants:

“A graduate of Harvard Law and Harvard Business School, Bower believed consultants are best recruited young and trained in-house because it is easier and more effective to train outstanding people in their formative years.” He didn’t want consultants offering advice filtered through their prior business experience or, worse yet, their intuition.”

They are doing everything they can to remove Legacy Owners, the ones who BUILT the system, and replace them with inexperienced lemmings that will do what they are told.

Yup. They really ARE joint employers. They want store operators, not store owners. Glorified managers.
