Most of the Burger King restaurants within 5 miles or so of McD's Oakbrook campus look as if they haven't been updated in 30 years or more. Cleanliness looks to be an issue with most of these restaurants as well (an observation from an unbiased consumer who happens to live near Oakbrook).

As a chain Burger King has been stripped out many times by many owners and the restaurants show it. There's a reason the average McDonald's does a million $$$ more in annual sales than the average Burger King.
