MORE LIES

Many interviewed Executives that comment on OPNAD speak about the "intent" of OPNAD rather than its reality. There is so much disconnect between Corporate Management and reality that it is amazing. OPNAD agrees that regional menus can be effective but then they urge speaking with one National voice that benefits some regions more than others. A portion of those OPNAD dollars should flow back into the local co-ops.

Don't sign the OPNAD pledge card as long as you spend 4% on advertising. But McD will come down on you like 10,000 suns and you will leave the system when your license expires.

There are so many things being done and have been being done that are not required by the license/lease agreement. Paying OPNAD, Balance sheets, reinvestments that are not based on sound business, spending more than the required 4% on Advertising, ect. It is only when things are not going well when these things are questioned. When and what do can you refuse to do?

If you are already experiencing backlash. Stand your ground!! The "System" that touts a McDonalds Culture has eroded and has for sometime. You will never forgive yourself later. Start looking for an exit strategy now, however that is not a bad thing, the Brand is going to go thru so much pain in the next 3 years even if they emerge which they will, consumers will be even more stratified. McDonald's is not top of mind. I say that with respect. We are all trained to be proud of being a McDonalds Operator, however hard to stay the course when someone says "wow you own a McDonalds", and in the same breath says "I hate your food and I can remember the last time I have been". Hurts!!
