I understand that if Hillary gets the Democrat nomination, Bernie Sanders will quit the Senate and join McDonald's Board of Directors.

Wow, spinburgers. All he knows how to cook are the books. All he can sling is BS. Maybe he's a replacement for Ronald? Lots of clown experience.

As Barry's PS, watching him spin and lie for his boss was like watching a bad horror movie. I guess Mickey D's needs an experienced liar right now.

Why investors and Wall St should run from McD like a scalded dog, from a twenty year system veteran. First, after Jim Skinners successful run as Ceo, the board picks Don Thompson,an engineer with little to no operational experience as CEO. Huge mistake . Then we rehire and retread Fired employees to key management positions, Easterbrook, Andres, and King. Finally the board of directors is full of geriatric fools ,70-80 years old, stuck in the 1980s. The board is inept, the management team is full of fired ex-execs, and Nobody listens to the operators. I'm selling my stock before it sinks to 13 or lower , AGAIN. You have been warned!

Esterbrook seems competent to me but has his hands full. Andres is a short timer in my opinion. MCD is in this position due to a colossal failure of leadership by the board of directors and top management. Skinner has to give up some skin as well. They did nothing to anticipate changes in consumer taste. They talked a lot about the changing face of America and the importance of technology. They made terrible promotions and did nothing positive with technology except lip service. However, being in the food business they just ignored what was happening regarding consumer taste's and left us flatfooted. Never before has MCD been so reactive. We have always acted to control our own destiny. Selling food for a profit and giving customers a good experience fell as a prioty. But, we were certainly "politically correct". Thompson was a nice fellow and smart but he was never a leader. Now, they want to target millinals (sp). These people don't have any money they are mostly living with their parents. MCD needs to take care of MCD and stop over reacting to special interest groups that attack our food and other areas. We worry about competitors that should not even be mentioned in the same sentence with MCD. Fix the food, give us a manageable menu and we will kick their asses. Customers want it fast and hot. Want to build sales? Make the drive thru a major focus. They hire all these high profile "PR" people but what are they going to talk about? The best and most effective "PR" tool we have is the Ronald McDonald Houses. There are great stories to be told there. We have millions invested in them. They are never mentioned. The operators I know are not afraid of these competitors. What the operators are afraid of is MCD. They have done more harm to their own operators than any competitor could have ever done. It defies understanding!!!

I am sure Mr. Gibbs really does not care for the franchisee; I bet his political views are we are just business people screwing our employees and could pay our franchisor more money. Why would McDonald's even consider hiring someone like this I am sure there are very smart business persons, PR persons who have represented restaurant groups and restaurateurs that could do a better job and truly believe in the franchise system and McDonald's. Very sad time for McDonald's.

It's almost as if Oak Brook deliberately set out to find the public figure with the worst reputation for honesty in the country. This guy spent years as white house press secretary telling Whoppers and now he's going to sell Big Macs?

This is what you get with a CEO who would know little about United States politics, history, or culture.

Only a few hundred thousand people out there who could do a better job.

I am extremely dissappointed in the Gibbs decision.

At the world wide they might as well bring Clinton it to speak and pay him the customary 500K.

What an embarrassment to our franchisees

If I could sell I would be gone, I owe to much money today for it to be practical.

We are running a comedy corporation.

Gibbs is a putz

To upset to say anything else

Anyone else miffed about Easterbrook and Andres who keep saying "We will build a modern, PROGRESSIVE burger company"?

What does that mean? Anyone know?
