Byron Allen to McDonald's Board - Fire CEO

 Backlash against Chris K grows

The McCEO reminds me of someone. In the past, I've made fun of the "My Pillow" guy who floods your commercial breaks with his sophomoric TV ads. He desperately wants to be somebody in the conservative political movement. The conservatives generally ignore him or keep him at arm's length.

So building an apparently successful company wasn't enough for Mr. Pillow. He's still a wannabe who longs to be a political player.

At the other end of the political spectrum, we have the left-wing liberal, Chris K. Being CEO of one of the biggest companies in the world isn't enough for him. He still longs to be a leader of the WOKE movement and use the McDonald's brand to tell people how to live and what to think.

So both men will ultimately fail because their customers don't want to hear about it. They just want comfy bedding and their Big Macs fast and hot..

I doubt that the tone deaf McD BOD will care a wit.

Kinda odd there was supposed to be a system wide “fireside chat” yesterday but it never came on!

The fireside chat was for McD employees only, but invitation came to operators by mistake. Apparently Chris thinks HIS McD employees need to hear the chat, but owners are not important enough to participate in spite of the fact that we own and operate 95% of the stores!

You bought a job, not a business, and Chris could not care less about you. You are NOT a partner!

Would you guys even know what the corporate people are talking about? Aren't they all about what pronouns to call each other and who's Woke and who's not?

In my experience, corp people often times preceed owners names with obscenities when they dont "play ball"

Some of my favorite Corp memes are:
"Be a 4, get a Store!"
"Be Woke, Go Broke"
"McD employees are only interested in getting the next job, NOT in getting the job done!"

As for the MCD BOD, they're in a tough spot. Their responsibility is to the shareholders, not to the corporate execs, not to the Owners. And shareholders have done pretty well under this regime.McDonald's Owner/Operators have told me, "We're afraid to push too hard, his replacement might be even worse". Maybe the BOD is thinking the same thing.

Or. maybe they don't have a replacement! Easterbrook and "K' butchered up the corporate hierarchy pretty badly. Even two years ago"K" was the last man standing. Maybe the bench is even emptier today?

We are stuck with him. Might as well get used to it.

That last comment must be from a corporate lackey.

Isn't the same Chris K. who always talks about how responsible companies have to be, used to give interviews and talk down about others like he is so enlightened and socially responsible and the Owners or others as if they are backwards, doesn't ever talk about what they do and was responsible for ruining the culture by criticizing the history, as the Easterbrook enforcer? Are there other Owners or Employees who are so naive they believe this insulting, brazen executive that acts as if he is the smartest person in the room, is now hiding behind his lack of world experiences? He's made more mistakes, shown arrogance and bad judgement, became CEO only because they had no place to go, and even less of a bench now. The board is both complicit and incompetent, look at all the conflicts. They should clean house and go outside for someone with real restaurant experience. Those who think they have a chance internally, better check their laundry, skeletons, complicity and worse. The whole world is watching and has the rest of the story, so beware. The rest of the scandals are lingering as whistleblowers and government agencies will be releasing more and more soon. If you're culpable, get out before it is too late, please.

Nope. Just another frustrated operator that feels as helpless as everyone else. Why I joined NOA. But nothing will happen. Just waiting for my pay day soon.

Each and every owner who is disgusted with his hypocrisy should be writing the McD Board NOW!

Where is a statement from the BMOA on this? NFLA? NOA? WON?

Andy Pudzer for CEO!

He KNOWS restaurants!

Richard Adams said...

I doubt Andy could afford the pay-cut.

I have NEVER been ashamed of my career at McDonalds. UNTIL NOW!

He needs to step down

IF only closed minds came with closed mouths.....

Be very careful what you wish for. joe erlinger would be far worse for operators.

Maybe I missed it Chris, but who asked you to comment about this at all?. Sell hamburgers, and say nothing else. It is not your place to comment on social issues. You have disgraced McDonalds worldwide. Who asked for your opinion anyway? SHUT UP and please leave!

My minority crew are quite hurt by your comments Chris. Why dont you try a little compassion, or try walking in their shoes

Chris K Text
"With both, the parents failed those kids which I know is something you can't say. Even harder to fix," Kempczinski wrote.

Licensees are saying The Board of Directors has failed McDonald’s Corporation and it’s shareholders for electing this self center individual as the leader of this wonderful brand. This board has failed this brand twice in a row by electing Easterbrook, known womanizer and now Kris K the preppie introvert that believes he knows all. I guess not having skills in multi cultural and multi national behaviors made him believe he should be leading this global brand.

Please Chris K do the right thing and resign.
Thank You
