McDonald's hit with combination: Franchisee unrest and strong sales

McDonald's will tie executive bonuses to diversity goals

Will these people be selected for their restaurant experience and operational expertise or will they be selected for their educational pedigree and where they went to school?

The bigger they are ... 70 unit JIB franchisee files for bankruptcy

The new standard for top executive positions at MCD will be having served in the Obama administration, in any capacity. No restaurant experience required.

Hey, if. They hire Karl Pen he at least acted in “Harold and Kumar go the White Castle.” before he went to work for Lresident Obama. Very tangentially related to burgers, and they never made it to White Castle.

Buckle up. This is gonna be a rough ride.

We have to push the executive team to the side and let NOW run the brand. It won’t be that hard if we fire up The Paise again and start holding our own stock analyst calls.Watch Chicago crumble.

BINGO to the first comment. The only way to get Corps attention is via Wall Street Analysts and the stock price.
Groups like LWS (spit) are NOT representative of our concerns.

Could this diversity announcement be an attempt to mute the lawsuits by former black operators, and company employees? This team is so corrupt, I would not put it past the current MCD-SET.

This diversity announcement is a warning in light of the Coke debacle of their new WOKENESS Program. As a major supplier and influencer in McDonaldLand - COKE's wokeness program HAS to be in the works for McDonald's. Otherwise, McDonald's restaurants better be prepared to walk away from COKE for a different beverage supplier.

McDonald's separating from Coke? Not going to happen. It will be a race to see which company can be the most WOKE but Coke is an integral part of the McDonald's system, like it or not.
In addition, McDonald's customers are conditioned to Coke and Coke products. Making a change would lose millions of customers.

Based on statements over the past year it appears that the uber-liberal CEO is allowing McDonald's Corp. to be perceived as systemically racist and culturally corrupt (until he came along). They will go about cleansing the system of anyone who doesn't agree (cancel-culture).

Then, maybe a year from now, he can claim that he not only beat the pandemic singlehandedly but also cured all the cultural problems in the McDonald's system.

I haven't read the lawsuits but have seen the media coverage of claims against McDonald's. Aren't most of these disputes over things that happened while he was Pres/MCDUSA or as CEO?

LWS is already spreading a initiative to de certify Coke for its WOKE stance. In a effort to gain favor and membership

LWS is a farce, its the company sponsored scheme - the base of WOKENESS issues in McDonald's. Solely devised to break the NOA. Remember those trainings MCD developed - first was the PRICING? Operators had to sign into that training on how price fixing was an issue and that the COMPANY shown operators how wrong it was, as to lay the responsibility of future litigation at the feet of operators.

Then came the newly revised RESPECTFUL WORKPLACE. Insinuating that while CORPORATION was facing untold numbers of internal lawsuits for those sorts of violations; the overall issues existed in the restaurants and with operators who own 95% of the restaurants.

All this crap developed under the past operator "leaders", led by the nose by their corporate handlers. Now the consolidated operator leaders of the LWS. Properly labeled LOST the WHOLE SYSTEM (LWS). Still desperate in their efforts to reclaim their 15-minutes of fame.

As for COKE, I remember when DR. PEPPER was a unwelcomed discussion. Never say never - newer generations have different loyalties. Woke or Unwoke - the system cant have a supplier going around pissing off 73% of the population without receiving some sort of backlash. No matter how much it discounts.
