The revolving door continues......

Yet they lambaste operators for OUR turnover??

I don't have anything against Hoffman but it is the positions like his that are, in my opinion, excess fat dragging the system down. This is not turnover. It is fixing the company. There are likely 20 more positions just like this that need to be cut as well. One small step to cutting a half a billion dollars in cost from the P&L. No one should be surprised. This is exactly what Easterbrook said he was going to do. I hope he does the same thing in the regions. The operators should be applauding these moves.

I am a DD franchisee. What can we expect from Mr. Hoffman?

DD - His bio has already been removed from the McDonald's website but I believe he spent much of the past 10-15 years working in international markets. This site is primarily visited by domestic McDonald's franchisees. But, if I get any comments they'll get posted. Or you can send your E-mail address to:

Thanks for stopping by.

Hope he destroys DD

He can't destroy DD. Unlike at MCD, DD franchise owners own nearly all of the real estate and the procurement and distribution system, and a lot of stock in DNKN.

More to the point, they also have an extremely vigorous independent franchisee association and key seats at the CFA. They don't have their strings pulled by the franchisor the way that MCD franchisees/tenants do. Maybe there is a lesson or two there.

Mr. Hoffman has to work with them, not on them. He doesn't have a choice. I suspect that he was brought in to deal with international, anyway.
