New CEO Single-Handedly Saves McDonald's

Maybe it's because their ancestors were ruled by kings and queens but European journalists generally treat big company CEOs like royalty. They love publishing glowing articles, even 
about mediocre executives.

When the U.K.'s Steve Easterbrook was promoted to CEO of McDonald's it was bigger news 
than the D-Day landing at Normandy.

I wonder how much they paid the Economist to print that BS? The Economist traditionally has been a respected member of the business press. But, they really screwed up with this.

He saved the company and shareholders BILLIONS of dollars by forcing Operators to completely remodel and upgrade the buildings that THEY (the Corp) own!
