"We're not going to see an awful lot of discounting as long as food costs are high and labor costs are high," Russo said. "At the end of the day, [restaurant] operators still have to make sure they take home a profit."

Smart analyst. Alveraz and Tohmpson should spend a day with him.

Jan Fields says, "Operators need to make a profit". Then she says, "Dollar Menu is the value message that needs to be advertised and promoted". Unfortunately, the two are in conflict because food cost and labor cost will continue to go up along with other expenses. Then we need to welcome CBB. Alveraz, Thompson, and Fields need to rethink this whole process.
