McDonald's People Getting the Chicken Finger

Maybe it was over adult beverages after Co-Op meetings, but during McDonald's growth years, Owner/Operators worried that as the company grew, we would develop corporate people who would leave and end up using their McDonald's experience to build out our competitors.

While that didn't happen (with a few exceptions), the PJB regime has done the opposite. He has flushed thousands of experienced McDonald's corporate staff and Owner/Operators while bringing in staff from other chains or people with no experience just because they went to the right schools.

These people will hang around just long enough to pad their resumes.

Actually, Cane's seems to be a pretty good concept. I've only been to a few, and they seem to draw a young crowd. The thing I like is they have the ultimate in limited menus - One Product !!! ... Just Chicken Fingers packaged in various forms. Even their "burger " is just three chicken fingers. I'd love a tour of their kitchen. It seems it would be the ultimate in efficiency.
BTY - Cane is the name of the founder's dog.

Mcd can no longer develop leaders from their bench, so they have to go outside the system to fill positions. Pathetic

A weak CEO doesn't want a strong bench. Bringing in handpicked people from outside the company means they will be intensely loyal to the CEO and will be easily controlled. The long-term employee who worked their way up through the ranks will be loyal to the "system" and only see the CEO as a temporary annoyance.
And the CEO knows it.
