Meet your new business advisor - Mr. Hunter Biden!
One of America's leading cokeheads hallucinates about what it's like to run a McDonald's
=========
Fun with organized labor - These McDonald's employees have been striking because the Oakland, CA McDonald's they work at is set to close soon. What good is a strike if the business won't be there next week? This is simply a union publicity stunt. It gets humorous when the strikers expect another McDonald's to hire them.
Employees strike against the Oakland McDonald's that is scheduled to close.

I wish it were possible to own a local business and also be involved in electoral politics, but in North Carolina...
Protestors to boycott McDonald's operated by Congressman and Owner/Operator Chuck Edwards

II'm not knowledgeable on the particulars of the Oakland McDonald's closing, except that the location is six miles north of the In-N-Out that was closed last year due to crime and violence.
.
To bad the o/o will miss the profits from December sales.
Historically, McDonald's has opened half of the year's new stores in the fourth quarter. Twenty years ago, the corporate people would be rushing to open all the new stores ASAP so they could have most of December off.
Of course, opening stores in December is difficult because vendors and trades are pretty unreliable until January.
(I'm assuming this Oakland store was/is on its first franchise term of 20 yrs)
.
My equity is disappearing due to Corporate mandates and overreaches. And the planned new store expansions will further dilute and damage existing stores. McKinsey’s ‘advice’ is making things WORSE.
I applaud the operator who went AI. The greedy Unions and low skill workers demanding $20-$30 per hour to be a cashier or bag fries is not sustainable without a huge price increase, leading to the corresponding loss of sales after hiking prices drastically.
Hey SEIU- You don’t deserve $20 an hour to work a drive thru.
Fifteen years ago, or maybe longer, the minimum wage was considered an entry-level" or "training wage". Over time, the SEIU and other unions have been successful in changing this perception to one of a "living wage."' So a person, new to the workforce with no skills, is supposed to make enough from day one to rent or buy a house, a car, raise three kids, and have a flat-screen in every room. And then the unions stage a phoney "strike" where they have paid strikers claim they work at McDonald's (they don't) and they've been employed there for ten years and still make minimum wage (another lie).
This is the most inflationary event to happen in the USA in 50 years, or maybe since the Great Depression in the 1930s.
Meanwhile, millions of parents would be happy to see their teenager make $6, $7, $8 an hour at their first job. But those jobs will be filled by adults who, after they pay their union dues, will start picketing and striking for $30 an hour.
.
And franchise companies that have few entry level employees rake in more in royalties becuase franchisees have to raise prices and the francise system gets a phoney sales increase.

I know Chuck Edwards. He is a great operator and a good congressman.
